One&Only Ocean Club - Bahamas
The Bahamas is a chain of more than 700 islands and 2,500 cays in the North Atlantic Ocean less than an hour's flight from Florida. Located 300 kilometres (185 miles) southeast of Miami, One&Only Ocean
Club sits on the beautiful eastern end of Paradise Island. A sliver of land eight kilometres (five miles) long and less than two kilometres (one mile) wide, Paradise Island is widely viewed as the most spectacular island in all of The Bahamas. Just across from the harbour of Nassau, the country's capital, One&Only Ocean Club is a 40-minute ride from Nassau International Airport.
Temperatures range from highs near 26°C /78°F and lows near 18°C /65°F from November - April to highs of 31°C/89°F and lows near 22°C/72°F from May - October. Paradise Island, The Bahamas, falls within the U.S. Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone, the same as Miami and New York City, and is five hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT -5). The Bahamian dollar (B$) is equal to the US dollar, and both are widely accepted. The official language is English and most inhabitants of The Bahamas follow some form of Christian faith, most notably Baptist, Anglican and Roman Catholic.
Once a private estate, today One&Only
Ocean Club is a playground of world-class golf, acclaimed dining, spa indulgences, and of course, water - the elixir of Bahamian life. With warm and inviting accommodation reminiscent of a colonial plantation home, and exemplary service provided by gracious staff, the resort has been entertaining the world's elite for more than 45 years.
